Playing around with the PlayTable at CES

January 10, 2018

Hey guys, BJ here!

We had the chance to play around with some really awesome tech at CES 2018 this year, and gaming was a big focus for a lot of the developers we saw.  Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, haptic sensors, all of them being used to enhance the gaming experience for the future.

There was one booth we stopped at that I got really jazzed about, though.  I'm talking about Prizm Labs and their PlayTable.  It's an interactie, tablet-style monitor that lays flat and displays your game, allowing you to use the touch screen to play and interact with physical pieces that you place on the screen, and you can even use your smartphone as a peripheral for the game at the same time.  And it features lots of board games like Settlers of Catan and Ticket to Ride, the kind of games that I already own and love, now I can carry a couple of dozen games on this tablet and play them anywhere, any time!

This is one piece of amazing tech that will definitely be in my collection as soon as possible!  Check out their website and check back for more news from our coverage of CES 2018!
