Were you lucky enough to see Prophets of Rage last September at White River Amphitheatre?  They had just released their debut 5-song EP, titled The Party's Over.  At first, you may have been a bit confused by the collaboration of killer musicians that make up Prophets of Rage.  Mind you, they don't consider themselves a "supergroup", and actually hate that label.  They came together by ways of mutual respect for each other's work, and similar political beliefs.  Rapper, Chuck D (Public Enemy) says "The world won't fix itself, and music can be a real spark plug and change that.".  They are men of their word!  Just watch this video of their take on 1988's Public Enemy song, "Prophets of Rage", as they play free shows at prisons.

Public Enemy's Chuck D and DJ LORD,  Cypress Hill's B-Real and Rage Against The Machine/Audioslave's Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk decided to make some waves in the world with their new band, Prophets of Rage.  They formed in May 2016 around the time of the Presidential Election.  They want to make it very clear that they didn't form just because of the election.  They had much bigger plans, and many more opinions to voice to the world in music form.  We can look forward to their first full-length, self-titled album, Prophets of Rage releasing on September 15th!  I think you'll find the message to their song, "Unf*ck The World" very clear.  This is why I LOVE them, though!  They lay it out...balls out style, ha!  (The video was directed by filmmaker and political activist, Michael Moore.)

Prophets of Rage will be playing 10 U.S. shows over the next couple of months, with their last show being Ozzfest in San Bernardino, CA on November 4th.  No matter what message they are conveying in their lyrics, their music could stand on it's own.  Such a kick ass mixture of hip-hop, rock and metal!  Can't wait for the new album!  Let us know what you think of it!  Much love to you!
