Joey Deez Blog "Top Vegas Spots"

May 23, 2017

It’s time to turn up for Tuesday!? That’s right, I’m changing things up today because Steve received a text on the main show asking for suggestions on what to do and where to stay while in Las Vegas. Check out the text below:

“Hey Migs. I'm planning on a Vegas trip for our 10yr. Can I get some show and places to stay recommendations from you and Joey Deez please?”

For those of you who don’t know, I travel to Vegas twice a year so this question is right up my alley. Most people think that Vegas is more of an adult vacation destination but over the past decade it has become much more family orientated and there’s plenty of stuff to check out.

Let’s talk hotels first. Ideally you won’t be spending too much time in your hotel room so price and location are ideal. New York, New York, The Linq, and Treasure Island tend to be cheaper while remaining on the strip. Planet Hollywood is probably the perfect middle ground and is also connected to a mile long mall if shopping is your thing. The Excalibur and Luxor are also both fine but they are bit of a walk from the middle section of the strip. If price isn’t an issue and you’re looking for something fancy, check out The Aria, The Cosmopolitan or the Venetian.

As far as things to do, the sky’s the limit. I recommend checking out the rollercoaster/arcade on top of the New York New York hotel. You get a great view and some great gaming. Definitely go up and down each side of the strip if you get the chance, popping into the casinos as you go. Each are themed differently and most of them are connected to each other. Circus Circus is probably going to be the most exciting place to go for a 10yr. It’s a little ways up the strip so you might want to cab but they’ve got rides, carnival games, circus acts and an Adventure Dome; pretty much everything. If you’re looking to get out of the heat, check out the Gold Coast. They have a huge bowling alley and movie theater; and when I say huge, I mean the biggest I’ve ever seen. Hopefully these suggestions have got you pumped up for your vacation and don’t forget, every casino has a pool!
