One Moment

Take a look at the calendar, take a look at the clock, it’s Friday! But it’s no ordinary Friday because today is National Pizza Day! It feels like everyone month has “National Pizza Day” but you won’t hear me complain about it. I’ll take any excuse I can get to eat pizza. So get out there later today an enjoy yourself a nice pie.

Enough of about pizza, let’s get to this incredible video of a lucky fan that got to jam out with the Foo Fighters during one of their recent concerts. A young man named Joey (no relation) brought a sign that read “Let me play Monkey Wrench” and Dave Grohl spotted him. What happened next has to be the most epic thing to ever happen to this dude.

Check it out below:

I’m more than a little jealous of this guy. He killed it. There was no hesitation to run up and down that stage the second he grabbed that guitar. Talk about stepping up to the challenge. I know we hear a lot about Dave Grohl’s great fan service but man….the dude never stops. And the fact that the rest of the band is into it as well makes each show special. He literally handed this dude his guitar and told him to bring it. Joey is never going to forget that moment, and who knows, it may even get him a gig in the future.

I can’t say I’ve ever has an epic moment like, mostly because I suck at playing the guitar, but I did get to be on the main stage for a minute during Pain in the Grass at the Gorge.  It was one of the most surreal moments I’ve experienced. The energy, the sound, the stage, it was all perfect. Throwing up the devil’s horns with thousands of Rock-A-Holics all in unison made the night something I’ll never forget.

What was that one moment for you? When did you get to do something totally awesome?
