DEFY NOW: A New Chapter For Fast Rising Local Wrestling Company

Jabroni Journal

October 26, 2017

It's strange to think that local upstart wrestling promotion DEFY hasn't even been around for an entire year yet. Since their first event on January 13th, the company has consistently raised the bar for independent wrestling in the Northwest, attracting world-renowned names like Jeff Cobb, Shane Strickland, Cody Rhodes and Matt Riddle as well as becoming a proving ground for local, homegrown talent.

On Thursday October 26th DEFY writes a new chapter, as they present their first-ever "DEFY NOW" event "Fright Fight" at Washington Hall on First Hill. These new events will be held downstairs in a smaller room. While the card boasts the first NW appearance of Lucha Libre badass Sammy Guevara, Head Promoter Jim Perry explains that DEFY NOW will be much more focused on local talent.

"DEFY NOW is an intimate showcase of the best talent based in the Pacific Northwest and will be an opportunity for both wrestlers and fans to get in on the ground floor during the resurgence of our wrestling community here in Seatte," Perry explains. "The matches will matter at DEFY NOW and directly effect our big numbered shows upstairs."
