Halloween Headlocks: DEFY Wrestling Returns To Seattle On Saturday With "Dia De Los Muertos" Event

October 26, 2018

Since Halloween falls on a weekday this year, it’s pretty safe to call this HALLOWEEN WEEKEND. And what better way to celebrate the spookiest time of the year than watching costumed combatants beat the living hell out of each other in a Halloween themed wrestling show?

DEFY wrestling returns to Seattle’s Washington Hall tomorrow night (Saturday October 27th) in what can only be described as an incredibly stacked event appropriately named Dia De Los Muertos.

The Championship is on the line as hometown hero Shane “Swerve” Strickland defends against a wrestler that has risen through the ranks of DEFY this past year, a seemingly unstoppable force known simply as SCHAFF. Strickland has successfully defended that title against top talent from all around the world, but this match could be his hardest competition yet, as Schaff’s brute strength combined with his speed and agility make him one hell of a threat to the King of Swerve.

It’s been an incredible month for Jeff Cobb, as he recently won both the Ring of Honor Television Title and the PWG Championship, proving that he is one of the most talented men on the independent wrestling scene today. We will see if Cobb’s win streak can continue on Saturday night as he goes one on one with the tattooed Southern California monster himself Brody King.

We will also see the unveiling of the brand new DEFY Tag Team Title Belts as the current champions The Amerikan Gunz – Ethan HD and Mike Santiago - face off against fan favorites MEXABLOOD – Bandito and Flamita. The Amerikan Gunz have proven themselves as the top tag team in the Northwest with their take no prisoners, win at all costs mentality and roughneck in ring style, but here’s their chance to prove they are in the conversation to be considered best in the world.

In what promises to be an insanely high-flying match up, the quirky yet lovable Canadian daredevil Artemis Spencer takes on a truly unique aerial assassin in his own right, Lucha Underground and Impact Wrestling star Rey Fenix.

And last but certainly not least, you’ll wanna save some energy to cheer for arguably the most popular DEFY wrestling superstar today, “The Weirdo Hero” Randy Myers as he faces the challenge of the spoiled rotten East Coast blue blood himself - MJF.
