Friday Night Fights: 3-2-1 Battle! Returns To The Showbox For BattleMania 2019

SOLID STEEL returns to the Showbox as Seattle’s weirdest band of badass underground wrestlers takes over one of the most iconic Northwest venues tomorrow night (Friday April 19th) for their biggest event of the year – BattleMania!

For members of the 3-2-1 Battalion, it all comes down to this. Every 2 weeks, diehard and rowdy beer-drinking wrestling fans cram into an Eastlake gym affectionately dubbed “The Battle Palace” for a few hours of release from the rigors of the normal work week. It’s part theater, part therapy and all fun.
But tomorrow night, all the key storylines and feuds culminate as these combatants leave “The Battle Palace” and go to war at the historic Showbox. Tickets for BattleMania 2019 are damn near sold out, so if you want to be there in person, get your tickets here.

Rockaholics will surely be interested in checking out our own Steve Migs, who also happens to be the 3-2-1 Battle! Commissioner, as he assembles a mystery team to step up to Officer Dean Cooper and his own troop of teammates. Will Migs have to do hard time?

The Seattle Underground Championship is on the line as Rook Kelly puts the belt high above the ring and defends it against three major threats in what promises to be a brutal ladder match. Will Rook Kelly be able to fend off Sonico, Cole Crazy and Jacub Soumis in one night to retain the belt?

Our purple haired prince Eddie Van Glam makes his triumphant return to the Showbox as he squares off against the dastardly thief known as Pitfall Jones. What more could Pitfall take from a man? His pride? His sunglasses?

Not to throw any shade at all to the rest of the card, but the match I’m most looking forward to personally is the one on one competition between two of the best damn technical wrestlers – the “Wrestling Genius” Daniel Makabe and Ring Of Honor’s own Jonathan Gresham aka “The Octopus.”

If you’re looking for hard hitting, fast paced action, you won’t want to miss the 6-Pack Challenge finals where six of the best in 3-2-1 battle it out in one match. My money is on B-Boy to take out Dante Smythe, Sage, Desi Derata, Allan Jepsen and Tony Baroni.

If it’s flips and spins and insanity you’re seeking, look no further than the special 5-star scramble match between Alex Zayne, The Whisper, Ashley Dunn, Zachary Wentz and Flip Kendrick.

There’s also a six-entity tag match as the newly formed group “The Fur Horsemen” Kaden Talbain, “Big Cat” Scott Henson and Sarian Soft Paws take on the dream team of Kimber Lee, Shotzi Blackheart and Kris Wolf.

And of course the most heinous man in all the land, “Simply The Best” Steve West takes time away from flicking his boogers to put his Solid Steel Championship on the line against the mighty Dave Turner.

If all that action isn’t enough awesomeness for you, we’re getting a battle royale. The tag team belts are up for grabs in a tag team battle royale featuring teams like Mint Conditioning, the Hall Sisters, Romantic Nerds, 4 Minutes of Heat, Strays and Friends w/ Medical Benefits.
