WWE Hell In A Cell Predictions

Jabroni Journal

September 14, 2018

It’s been 20 years since the infamous night that Mick Foley’s life almost ended live on Pay Per View. His brutal match with the Undertaker at King of the Ring 1998 might be the most famous Hell in a Cell match of all time. It’s fitting that Mick Foley has just been added to this Sunday’s Hell in a Cell Pay Per View as guest referee of the main event. There’s a lot of good stuff to look forward to this Sunday night and here are my predictions for the event.

Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella vs. The Miz and Maryse – Mixed Tag Team Match
I don’t see this being the end of the long running feud between these two couples, so unfortunately, I imagine the Miz and Maryse will once again win due to some scandalous bad guy shenanigans.
Winners: The Miz and Maryse

AJ Styles (WWE Champion) vs. Samoa Joe
Here’s the match I want to see in a Hell in a Cell! While I do believe they missed a chance at making this the true match of the night with that stipulation, I can almost guarantee this one will steal the show. The rivalry between these two has become very personal, with Samoa Joe roping AJ’s family into his most recent promos. Now AJ has had a hell of a run as WWE Champion, but I think it’s gonna be Samoa Joe standing tall at the end of the match.
Winner: Samoa Joe (New WWE Champion)

Ronda Rousey (Raw Women’s Champion) vs. Alexa Bliss
I think this match is going to be a lot more competitive than their last at SummerSlam, but I don’t think there’s any chance the WWE will take the belt off of Ronda before their first ever all women’s Pay Per View event “Evolution” next month. This match is gonna be good, but Ronda will surely make Alexa tap.
Winner: Ronda Rousey (Still Raw Women’s Champion)

The New Day (Smackdown Tag Team Champions) vs. Rusev Day (Rusev and Aiden English)
There’s no way that The New Day is gonna lose the titles to a tag team that can hardly get along.
Winners: The New Day (Still Smackdown Tag Team Champions)

Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton – Hell in a Cell Match
This match is going to be gnarly. Jeff Hardy is getting up there in age and I’m sure all the brutal moves from over the years have taken their toll on his body, but if there’s one thing that this current comeback run has proven to us fans it’s that he’s still down to do crazy ass stuff. If there’s anyone who is gonna be flying off that cell, it’s gonna be Jeff Hardy. Swanton Bomb off the top? It could happen. This one could go either way, but in the end I see Randy winning with a nasty RKO.
Winner: Randy Orton

Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre (Raw Tag Team Champions) vs. Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose
As much as I am loving Ziggler and McIntyre playing the role as the updated Shawn Michaels and Diesel, I have to believe they’re gonna lose the titles to 2/3 of the Shield. Imagine if The Shield was in possession of the tag belts, the IC Title and the Universal Championship. Now that’s domination!
Winners: Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose (New Smackdown Tag Team Champions)

Charlotte Flair (Smackdown Women’s Champion) vs. Becky Lynch
I’m really digging this mean streak that Becky has found. She is truly showing her fire and I think it’s finally time that she pins Charlotte. Will Charlotte win it back soon? Probably. But I think it’s about time Becky gets a run with the belt.
Winner: Becky Lynch (New Smackdown Women’s Champion)

Roman Reigns (WWE Universal Champion) vs. Braun Strowman – Hell in a Cell Match (Guest Referee: Mick Foley)
This match is gonna be pretty damn brutal. The addition of Mick Foley is an interesting little twist, and I’m sure he will find himself getting involved in some way, probably by accidentally taking a nasty spear or something. As much as I would love to say Braun is gonna win, I don’t think it’s happening just yet. Somehow, someway, “The Big Dog” is going to retain the title. ]

Winner: Roman Reigns (Still WWE Universal Champion)
