WWE Survivor Series Predictions

Jabroni Journal

November 16, 2018

As much as I love turkey and mashed potatoes, the Thanksgiving tradition I most looked forward to while growing up was Survivor Series. I always loved seeing the 5 and 6 man tag team matches that usually pitted all the good guys vs. all the bad guys.

Up until this past Monday night it looked like all the plans were 100% set for this Sunday’s Survivor Series event. But things took a strange turn when Smackdown Women’s Champion “The Man” Becky Lynch got smashed in the face (for real) on Raw, busting her wide open and giving her what was later found to be a concussion and a broken nose. This caused the much anticipate women’s Champion vs. Champion match between Becky and Ronda Rousey to be switched up a bit. On Tuesday night, Becky called upon her on again off again friend Charlotte Flair to defend Smackdown’s name.

Later in that very same episode of Smackdown, Daniel Bryan showed a dastardly mean streak and hit WWE World Champion AJ Styles in the junk then pinned him to win the title in shocking fashion. So that switches the men’s Champion vs. Champion match up in a big way, too.

With things all shook up, it makes the card a little more interesting and confusing.

Here are my predictions for this Sunday’s Survivor Series.

Cruiserweight Championship Match
Buddy Murphy (Champion) vs. Mustafa Ali
Buddy Murphy has really proven himself to be a solid champion, but I think its Mustafa Ali’s time to shine. This dude is one of the most dynamic and underrated wrestlers on the entire roster and I think he will walk away with that purple belt around his waist.
Winner: Mustafa Ali (New Cruiserweight Champion)

Raw vs. Smackdown Tag Team Survivors Series Elimination Match
Team Raw - Bobby Roode and Chad Gable, The B-Team , The Revival , Lucha House Part), and The Ascension  vs. Team SmackDown – The Usos,  The New Day , Sanity,  Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, The Colóns
There is no way that the Smackdown team is losing this one. The combination of the Uso’s and The New Day is untouchable. Sorry Raw, you’re out of your league when it comes to tag team wrestling.
Winners: Team Smackdown

Raw Tag Team Champions vs. Smackdown Tag Team Champions
Authors of Pain vs. The Bar
As much as I would love to see the Bar come out of this match on top, the Authors of Pain are a true force to be reckoned with and have a lot to prove. Raw’s gonna punch back with this one and take the victory.
Winners: Authors Of Pain

Women’s Survivor Series Match
Team Raw (Mickie James, Natalya, Nia Jax, Tamina and Ruby Riott) vs. Team SmackDown (Asuka, Carmella, Naomi, Sonya Deville and TBD)
Why aren’t Sasha Banks and Bayley in this match? Aside from that travesty, this looks like it’s going to be a pretty rad match with this amount of talent facing off against each other. Nia Jax and Tamina will crush the competition and be the main reason Raw wins this one.
Winners: Team Raw (Mickie James, Natalya, Nia Jax, Tamina and Ruby Riott)

Men’s Survivor Series Match
Team Raw (Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Finn Bálor and Bobby Lashley) vs. Team SmackDown (The Miz, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Samoa Joe and Jeff Hardy)
Honestly, this one is hard to say because there are so any heavy hitters on both teams, but I’m thinking that the dynamic trio of Randy Orton, Samoa Joe and Rey Mysterio will prove to be a bit too much for Raw. Smackdown is taking this match.
Winners: Team SmackDown (The Miz, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Samoa Joe and Jeff Hardy)

Universal Champion vs. World Champion
Brock Lesnar (Universal Champion) vs. Daniel Bryan (WWE Champion)
This is going to be a really interesting match. I am curious to see how these two work together in the ring and just how much damage Daniel Bryan can take from a dude the size of Brock Lesnar. Daniel Bryan is a resilient s.o.b, but I think Brock is destined to bring him to suplex city.
Winner: Brock Lesnar

Intercontinental Champion vs. United States Champion
Seth Rollins (Intercontinental Champion) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (United States Champion)
Straight up, this is a dream match. I see this one stealing the show, but I also think Dean Ambrose is going to interfere in some way, costing Rollins the match.
Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura

Raw Women’s Champion vs. Smackdown Women’s Champion
Ronda Rousey (Raw) vs. Charlotte Flair (SmackDown)
I definitely think this match is going to be awesome, as both of these women are top notch athletes. Charlotte will certainly take Ronda to the limit, but just like everyone else before her, will tap out to the vicious armbar.
Winner: Ronda Rousey
