Jabroni Journal: Support Your Local Wrestling Scene

3-2-1 BATTLE! Combines Comedy and Brutality

July 13, 2016

It’s a crazy time to be a wrestling fan. With WWE evolving into a smarter and more fan-friendly product, Lucha Underground pushing the boundaries of sports entertainment, Ring of Honor coming correct with incredible grappling and high flying action, New Japan making more moves into the U.S. market and TNA .......being TNA ...(?)

Along with all this, did you know that Seattle has its very own thriving underground wrestling scene? If not, make sure you check out 3-2-1 BATTLE!, a local independent promotion that runs twice a month at Evolv Fitness here in Seattle.  Get there early, as the room fills up quick with rowdy wrestling fans. There’s cheap beer, intense action, hilarious storylines and even a steel chairshot or two. Some of my current favorite 321 wrestlers are Daniel Makabe - a technical wrestling wizard from Vancouver, BC that unfortunately broke his leg in ring a month-or-so ago, BatBoy – a death defying luchador that will flip right into the front row of fans at the drop of a dime and Big Cat Scott Henson  - a living breathing wrestling cat.

You can add them on Facebook here for updates and follow along with the ridiculousness

This Friday (July 15th), California based badass “Mr Athletic” Jeff Cobb will be wrestling local 321 superstar by the name of Sarian. The bell rings at 9 pm, so make sure you start lining up around 8. Beyond that, there’s only two words you need to remember : SOLID STEEL !
