Jabroni Journal: TLC 2016

My Predictions

December 1, 2016

There’s no shortage of pro wrestling to watch these days. With the brand split, it seems like every time I blink my eyes, WWE has another Pay Per View event for us nerds to watch on the Network. Don’t get me wrong, I’m certainly not complaining…it’s just a lot to keep up with ! Lucky for me, I have no girlfriend, no family and no social life………(crickets)]
Let’s take a look at this Sunday night’s Pay Per View. The Smackdown roster will get their chance to use a variety of weapons in warfare, for this weekend’s event is TLC – Tables Ladders and Chairs.

Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match
Heath Slater and Rhyno (Champions) vs. Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton
I have really enjoyed the revitalization of both Heath Slater and Rhyno. This team right here is a perfect example of why I think underutilized talent has much more room to grow on Smackdown. With a thinner roster, they are forced to put emphasis on wasted talent that has been often overlooked. That being said, it’s time for Bray Wyatt to finally win a damn belt. The Wyatt Family looked great on Tuesday night against American Alpha, and though it took me a bit to get used to Randy in this role, there’s something so cool about seeing him in this role as a brainwashed, silent but deadly killer set on destruction. I fully expect for Randy and Bray to make short work of the champs and walk out of the match with the belts.

Winners: Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton (New Smackdown Tag Team Champions)

Chairs Match
Kalisto vs. Baron Corbin
Kalisto will run laps around Baron, but there’s no doubt he will take a beating with those chairs. I predict that Corbin will be victorious after putting a brutal pounding on the fan favorite Kalisto, earning the Dallas fans’ sympathy for a rematch.

Winner: Baron Corbin

Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match
The Miz (IC Champion) vs. Dolph Ziggler
This match AGAIN? This is being advertised as the FINAL battle between these two……but it seems like we’ve been seeing that promise for quite a while. I mean, they put on a hell of a match and I have no doubt that this Ladder Match will steal the show, but DAMN guys. Talk about a never ending feud. They seem to love the idea of flip flopping the belt back and forth between these two, so I’ll go with Ziggler on this one. Then Miz will probably win the next one. Because there will always be a next one with these two (and then more after that)….

Winner:  Dolph Ziggler (New Intercontinental Champion)

No Disqualification Match
Nikki Bella vs. Carmella
As much as I would love to see Nikki end this feud with a vicious rack attack, Carmella has been showing a vicious side lately by attacking her backstage and going to any extreme to weaken the Bella twin. I don’t see this feud ending with this match and I predict that Carmella will get her arm raised this time after she uses all kinds of dirty tactics to punish Nikki.

Winner: Carmella

Smackdown Women’s Championship Table Match
Becky Lynch (Champion) vs. Alexa Bliss
Alexa Bliss will surely be Smackdown Women’s Champion SOON, but she still has a way to go before she takes the belt off the face of the Smackdown Women’s Division – Becky Lynch. The Lasskicker is the powerhouse of the division and I see her successfully defending her title and walking out of Dallas with her big blue belt.

Winner: Becky Lynch

Smackdown Heavyweight Championship Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match
AJ Styles (Champion) vs. Dean Ambrose

This week on Smackdown Live, AJ Styles snapped. After being made to look like a joke by losing to James freaking Ellsworth three separate times, he went berserk and nearly broke the no-chinned wonder with a Styles Clash off the steel ring steps to the outside. He damn near broke Ellsworth’s neck. This is the AJ we need to see. Brutal, ruthless, take-no-prisoners AJ Styles. I am really looking forward to what might be the last chapter of this feud – Dean and AJ both have experience in their fair share of hardcore-style matches, so expect this one to be filled with weapons and genuine OH MY GOD moments…..In the end, somehow AJ Styles will walk out victorious, but it won’t be pretty.

Winner: AJ Styles
