No Joke: Kid Rock Says He Really is Running for Senate

What platform will the "Devil Without a Cause" run on?

Well, we may very well spend "All Summer Long" imagining what it would be like to have a legit "American Badass" serving in the U.S. Senate.

"Only God Knows Why" he's doing it, but rap-rocker Kid Rock says he's just the "Cowboy" that Washington (and, let's be honest, America) needs right now. While he hasn't officially filed for a Senate run in Michigan, the Bullgod does have himself some pretty dope election swag for sale. Over on his website, which Kid Rock swears is legit, you can buy yourself a shirt, a trucker hat (obviously), a bumper sticker, and a sweet yard sign.

We still don't know anything about his platform though, but we're pretty sure we're already behind a guy who will routinely yell, "You've Never Met a Motherf*cker Quite Like Me" inside a bunch of rural Michigan diners all while shaking old people's hands and kissing babies. Yup, "Picture" that scene!

Who knows, maybe this is a real political campaign and not a stunt. After all, we are talking about a guy who managed to turn his life around in just a decade. Yeah, that's right, back in 1996 he was just an "Early Mornin' Stoned Pimp" from Detroit, and by 2007 he was reborn as "Rock 'n' Roll Jesus." So maybe, Kid Rock really does want to serve his beloved home state of Michigan. Hey, it's America. It's 2017. Anything is possible!!!
