Today’s #MobilityMonday drill is arguably the simplest one out there. The challenge in this video was not showing you how to do Neck Circles, but trying to convince you of their importance when they look SO SIMPLE! They ARE so simple. 

They are also suitable and massively beneficial for EVERYONE- from a guy in his 20s working his way towards deadlifting twice his bodyweight, to a highly inactive 78 year old woman who ditched her walker within 2 weeks of trying them (we did some other things, but these have been a staple and favorite since day 1). I explain why this is, below:

You'll notice the slower you go, the more you feel happening. That is good. There's a lot of "stuff" in the neck area that could use some simple controlled movement to stay functional and comfortable. You may notice some of that "stuff" Rice Krispie-ing around as it snaps, crackles, and pops. Fear not, as long as it's not causing pain, that is a totally normal response to these. ;)
