What I Eat In An Average Night At KISW

April 11, 2019

It's no secret that nutrition is important for looking and feeling your best. I was recently asked what I usually eat when I’m here alone in the middle of the night. So I made a video for this week’s #ThursdayQandA

Keep in mind, this is just one night. I’m a little light on protein and heavier on fruits and veggies. Some nights that’s how it goes. Other nights (like last night) there’s more protein and a little less produce. Those are really the things I focus on making sure I have around as convenient options, and get plenty of. Then, hydrate!! That’s basically my whole personal nutrition approach. Simple priorites help me stay sane while eating healthy!

By getting plenty of protein, fruits, and veggies, I don’t have a ton of room for junk food, and when I do indulge, it’s not a big deal. I just try to make sure I eat my treats slowly so I can thoroughly enjoy (and digest) them. I get these food groups in super simple, convenient ways. Feel free to get them however you want. This is not the only way, but focusing on adding plenty of them is much easier to stick to over the long-term than fancy “diets” that are a hassle.

Down With The Fitness is here to give you simple, actionable tips that will improve your health. If you found this helpful, feel free to check out the archives for more.  I'm pretty proud of the rabbit hole this thing has become.
