Thursday Q&A: When Is The Best Time To Work Out?

Morning? After Work? On lunch? Yes.

March 14, 2019

This week’s #ThursdayQandA is one of the most common questions I get: “When is the best time to work out?”

Whenever works best for your schedule.

That’s it. End of blog.

Just kidding. But not really. That IS an accurate one-sentence summary. At the end of the day, your body doesn’t really care. Once again, it just comes down to consistency.

You could argue that starting the day with a workout- to get the blood pumping and get it done for the day- is the way to go. Hell, some people think that’s so great they actually wake up early for it!

Maybe you’re more the type that likes hitting the gym after work because it gives you something productive (and stress-relieving!) to look forward to after a hectic day.

Whatever you decide is what's best. Just be consistent with it. If a certain time works better for your schedule and you feel that will help you be consistent, that’s a good place to start. Experiment from there and don’t stop til you find something that works consistently. Repeat a whole bunch til it’s just part of your life. Then you’re set!

It really is that simple. As I always remind my clients, simple doesn’t mean easy!
