We know we said this was the only Christmas song you needed to get into the holiday spirit, but we’re changing our tune.

While it’s true that Christmas music tends to be one of those polarizing topics, we’ve put together a list of holiday jams, and we’re hoping we can all agree on one thing: These Christmas songs actually rock.

Below, check out these 8 holiday-themed songs (in no particular order) by your favorite artists.

8. Rise Against “Making Christmas”

This Nightmare Before Christmas cover is, much like the movie, equal parts Halloween and Christmas. And it rocks.

7. Ramones “Merry Christmas (I Don’t Want to Fight Tonight)”

The festive track’s been covered by everyone from Sleater-Kinney to E. Street Band guitarist Little Steven Van Zandt.

6. Pearl Jam “Let Me Sleep (It’s Christmas Time)”

Spot-on lyrics. Remember how magical it all seemed as a kid?

5. Linkin Park “My December”

A bit unconventional in that it’s not exactly a Christmas song, but visions of a snow-filled December make it fitting nonetheless.

4. Halestorm “Mistress for Christmas”

Lzzy Hale’s voice is the perfect fit for an AC/DC cover. Proof below.

3. AC/DC “Mistress for Christmas”

How could we leave this one out? If you liked the cover (above), you’ll love the original.

2. Corey Taylor “X-M@$”

The anti-Christmas track was written by Taylor for all the scrooges out there getting stressed out over the holidays.

1. Lemmy Kilmister “Run Rudolph Run”

The late Motorhead frontman enlisted the help of Dave Grohl and ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons to bring the perfect amount of edge to Chuck Berry’s classic track.

What do you think? Which songs would be on your list?
