What's up 12s!

We've made it! We're finally here! It's tiiiiiiiiime for FOOTBALL! I'm very happy to give the first preview for the 2018 season as we play the first preseason game against The Colts here in Seattle, so let's dive in!

Preseason is a little more difficult for me to give previews for, because it's too unpredictable which players are going to play when. If I'm not mistaken, we will not see Wilson play, or he will play the first couple series before he sits down until game 4. So for this game, I would expect to see a few veterans knocking some of the dust off as well as watching some new blood going out and making their mark out on the field.

Myself personally, I'm going to be on the lookout for players that we lost to injury last season. George Fant is probably the biggest one that I'm going to be looking at. We lost him in the preseason last year because of his leg, which ended up needing surgery, and I feel that our front line suffered for it. It's incredibly difficult to come back from something that extreme, especially for the position he plays, but I saw some fire to come back during training camp, so I'm hoping to see some good results.

Another would be our running corps. I don't think there was a single running back last year that didn't have to be set down because of an injury. Sadly, we lost Thomas Rawls in the offseason to a trade, but I think that was more a band-aid that needed to be ripped off. The man showed promise, but was too badly hurt to be utilized by this team again. As far as this week, I'm looking the direction of CJ Prosise, and Mike Davis (I know I accidentally called him our backup QB, but it was an honest mistake). Prosise has always shown himself to be the speed and dexterity to really round out our running offense, but he's also made of glass, He's good for a few games before he ends up getting sat down for the season, I fear this could be his last year with us if he doesn't perform. And Mike Davis was the unsung hero of the Seattle offense last season even for a 3rd or 4th string running back. I'm very excited to see how the offseason has treated these guys.
