What's up 12s!

FINALLY! A fresh taste of football in the midst of all this madness! The 2020 Draft was this last weekend, and our boys Pete and John made some intriguing picks this season that we're going to break down one-by-one here.

First pick for the  Seahawks this year went to Texas Tech Linebacker: Jordyn Brooks.

I'll be the first to admit that I don't watch enough college ball to know who these players are, but I love researching our new picks. Looking at some of the highlights of Mr. Brooks here, I can see what Pete and John see in him, and what's in store, check it out:

Drafting high for a middle linebacker means something that we've all been dreading for a while now, Bobby and KJ are getting long in the tooth, and we don't know how much longer they'll be gracing our defense, so we need to prepare. That being said, if you don't want to check the whole video, go to the play right at 2:39 in the video and tell me what you see. Go ahead, I'll wait.......tell me that doesn't look just like a Kam Chancellor hit.

Simply put, this guy fits our style and will mold into another devastating linebacker. Pete and John wanted more sacks this season, and this is the right man for the job. He's fast, great with the open-field tackle, has a grip strangth that could crush a horseshoe, and a no-quit attitude. There's criticism about it being a "future" pick for a team that's ready to do something now in the way of a championship, but I foresee him making a big splash early on.

That'll do for now, We'll be back next week with another breakdown of some new blood! Until then, stay sane 12s! Mike Hawk is OUT!
