What's up 12s!

Good lord the air is so much sweeter on a Monday after a Seahawks victory! Now, I was on vacation and wasn't able to watch allllll of the game, but lemme tell you what I did see....

Offense

Tripped right out of the gate with a handoff to Chris Carson, but I'll overlook it because he's a magnificent back and we're all prone to mistakes. After that little blunder, the offense really started clicking again. For as much grief as I give our quarterback, the man has poise under pressure, and when it's time to go to work, the man delivers 80% of the time. His passes started looking cleaner, handoffs were looking better, he was running better, and our offensive line gave us the shield that we needed to progress down the field. That, and our receiving corps is developing by the day! They're breaking away better and coming up with some good routes to confuse. I will say, we've got to utilize the short pass more. I know we want to rely on the run game or the dramatic long pass to convert on 3rd, but we should look more toward the short pass. We've got good hands, and fast feet that can break free for 4 yards. Overall, an A for the Offense this week

Defense
Didn't take long for the defense to find the chink in the armor of the Packers, especially after giving Aaron Rogers momentum within the first minute of the game. When that man is on a streak, it's hard to stop him, which the Hawks defense did beautifully this week. They looked hungry, mean, and unbreakable this week which gives them another A+ for the week.

Special Teams
Great work by Seabass making all of his marks this week. Gotta love when you don't have to worry about the accuracy of your kicker.

Pretty hollow review, I know, but again I was on vacation in Vegas, so I was a little distracted. Loved watching them pull out the victory and the fact that all teams we were rooting against lost over the weekend, putting the Seahawks in charge of their own fate for the playoff hunt. We're not quite out of the woods yet, we've still got a couple ugly teams to face, which all seem to come in off weeks. We've got the Panthers next week in Carolina, the Vikings 2 weeks later and the Chiefs 2 weeks after that, both here in Seattle. On top of 2 games against the Niners, and our final game against the Cards. Now's the time for our boys to do what I talked about months ago, pull out the stops, charge forward with reckless abandon and plow their way to the end of the season. What I fear for us in the coming weeks is tough games against Carolina, Minnesota and KC, and underestimating our own division. You'll see a fighting, playoff worthy team in those tough competitions, and we'll be laying back a little too much for comfort in the divisional games. I think we can still make the playoffs without much doubt, but we need to be smart and play these next few weeks right. That being said, let's go kick Cam's ass. With that...Mike Hawk is OUT!
