The Prodigy's Blog "Emerald City Comicon"

April 12, 2016

For those of you who don't know, Emerald City Comicon was over the weekend and it was crazy. Thousands of people descended upon the Washington state convention center to do all things geeky and our very own BJ Shea was one of them.

ECCC is paradise to people like my dad. It's a social gathering where everyone can enjoy board games, comics, and awesome cosplay. But for BJ, board games are king. And as king, he spent over 16 hours last weekend gaming with everyone and anyone who would.

But we are a house divided. My dad is a hardcore board gamer while I’m a diehard PC gamer. And there can only be one crown. BJ loves the social aspect of board gaming, not to mention the wide variety of what seems like a never ending sea of board games at his disposal. Seriously, he has over 100 board games. While I can't compete with all those options, I do have a trump card. You don't have to put on pants to play PC games, and everyone hates pants.

We may argue back and forth on which is better, but one thing we agree on is that there's never enough time to game!

What about you? What’s that one thing you geek out about?
