Migs Blog 04/12/16 "Trippy Face, Man!"

April 12, 2016

So yesterday I was playing around on Snapchat and came across one of those silly filters that they have.  I think I would look pretty awesome with a cop-stashe.

OK, maybe not.

I came across another filter…this one gives off a hallucinogenic vibe!

So I post this, and talk about trippy…I come across an article about what your brain looks like on LSD.  Check this out!

Since there is a theme of trippy stuff going on this blog…for years, people have claimed that Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" album syncs up with "The Wizard of Oz".  I have done it, multiple times, in college…and it is pretty cool.  All you have to do is start “Dark Side Of The moon” when the MGM Lion in the intro makes its third roar.  Now they're saying it syncs up with "Star Wars: The Force Awakens".

Supposedly if you start the album as the opening scroll ends, and play it three times all the way through, the lyrics match the movie.  Here are some examples…. Stop reading this blog if you fear having stuff spoiled.

When Poe wakes up in Kylo Ren's torture chamber, the lyric "I'm not afraid of dying / Anytime will do" from "Great Gig in the Sky" plays.  And the scream happens right as Poe opens his mouth.

In the song "Us and Them", when the word "Blue" is spoken, Finn turns the light saber on . . . and it's blue. Whoa man!

In Han Solo's last scene, the camera focuses on him when the lyrics say "I never said I was afraid of dying" . . . when he grabs Kylo's light saber, you hear "Keep your hands off my stack" from "Money" . . . and when Kylo kills him, the lyric says, "Don't give me that do goody-good bull ESS."

As Rey makes her way toward Luke at the end of the movie, the lyrics to "Brain Damage" say, "The lunatic is on the grass / Remembering games, and daisy chains and laughs / Got to keep the loonies on the path." The connection on this one is in the daisy chain line, since Rey is played by Daisy Ridley.  Ok…a slight stretch on this one!

Check out the first 8 minutes of the two merged together here…
