Greta Van Fleet Has a Sam to Give

January 15, 2019

Hola Bitcholas,

Sam Kiszka is the bass player of Greta Van Fleet. Truth-be-told, he plays some very slick lines, the band is pretty bad ass and as a result of that, he has my absolute respect AND he can kiss my ass...for the exact reasons I just named.

That said, he's truly a nice guy, so I kinda feel bad hoping he'll kiss my ass, but I'm a monster.

Anyway, Sam hung out with us for 'Sit and Spin' and he brought his own 'top 10' list. He didn't inform us of what the list represented so we were left to guess. We guessed poorly. In the end, Sam brought us his 'top 10 best song intros ever'. All of the song intros were good...I get it...but Sam, Sam, Sam, you're just so wrong.

Sure, the list is 'good', but it's not 'correct'. First of all, Faith No More's "Everything's Ruined" is clearly the best intro ever. And "The Pot" from Tool also collects a medal. Rage Against the Machine's "Bomb Track" ain't no joke...and who could forget the opening refrains from "Welcome to the Jungle"?

Take the time to check out "Climbing Up the Ladder" from the Isley Brothers, "The Mission" from King's X, "Unchained" from Van Halen, "Taste the Pain" from the Chilli Pepppers, "Where Eagles Dare" from Maiden, motherf**king "Shaft" (damn right),  etc.

I could go on and on but I don't wanna make Sam feel TOO bad. And you, of course, mught disagree with some of my nominees, but that's only because you're wrong.

Until tomorrow, do what you do best and STAY BEAUTIFUL!
