A Total Eclipse of Lies!

December 7, 2016

My feet itch... but that is neither here nor there.

Thanks to a listener of the show, we got an email today that informed us of a book titled "Dog on Board".  Here's a link to it, via Amazon:

"Have you ever met a dog who could ride the bus all by herself? Eclipse can, and her story went viral, catapulting her to national stardom. Now see the world through her eyes in this delightful photographic picture book!

All I wanted to do was go to the dog park. I never thought my buddy Jeff would miss the bus. And I certainly never thought I’d become a pup with paparazzi!
The story of this online sensation is so compelling you’ll want to share it—like the millions who already have on TV, online, and in newspapers around the world."

"Eclipse’s story is perfect for the picture book set, and doggie lovers will get right on board." —Booklist

Here's the thing about this 'heartwarming' tale... there is no mention of our very own Miles Montgomery...the man who actually BROKE THE STORY! Not only that, some local TV reporter gets credit for it. Hell, when you read the 'review' above, they mention how people followed the story on TV, online and newspapers... but don't even mention radio...where the story broke.

So, now we have an author making money off of the story that is credited to the wrong person.  But only because that person didn't bother to come clean about how little they actually have to do with the story.

This, however, inspired today's question:  WAS IT BETTER OR WORSE THAT YOU DIDN'T GET THE CREDIT FOR WHAT YOU DID?

In the meantime, we're gonna attempt to land an interview with the authors of the book (Dorothy Hinshaw Patent and Jeffery Young) and let them hear the real version.

We'll see what happens.

OK bitches, I'm outta here.

Do what you do best and STAY BEAUTIFUL!"
