Although I do love a good Christmas carol, sometimes you just have to mix it up with something a little more edgy. Here are 5 Christmas albums you should definitely check out if you haven't already:

5. We Wish You a Metal Xmas and a Headbanging New YearThis heavy metal Christmas compilation features the likes of Lemmy Kilmister, Dave Grohl, Ronnie James Dio, Ray Luzier and John 5!

I had no intention of buying any records for myself today, but couldn’t pass up the chance to add this to my Christmas collection. If you have never heard this look it up. Now. #nowplaying #wewishyouametalxmas #vinyltherapy

4. Heart - Heart Presents a Lovemongers' Christmas: I've been listening to Heart since I was young, and my parents introduced me to this album about 20 years ago. The holiday harmonies are SENSATIONAL (no surprise there)!

3. Rob Halford - Halford III: Winter Songs: Yes, this is exactly what you might think it is. Christmas favorites backed by heavy metal arrangements and the powerful vocal stylings of The Metal God himself.

2. Bad Religion - Christmas Songs: Behind Rush and Primus, Bad Religion rounds out my top three favorite bands, and they can punk rock the HECK out of your favorite Christmas carols!

‘Tis the season to drop the needle on this wonderful record. (Check Stories for a sample.) . #badreligion #badreligionband #badreligionchristmassongs #christmassongs #tistheseason #christmas #christmastime #christmasmusic #xmas #xmassongs #vinyl #vinylrecord #badreligionvinyl #vinylcollection

1. Elvis - Elvis' Christmas Album: I always listened to this with my family growing up, but managed to score it on vinyl when I had an old turntable refurbished a few years ago. It's by far the most classic Christmas album!
