5 Very Fall Things To Do In The PNW

September 20, 2017

Aaahhhhh Fall in the PNW! You know you love it. As the leaves continue to change and eventually make their final descent to the ground, here's a hit-list of good times to take in over the coming weeks!

1. Sip suds at The Great Pumpkin Beer Festival - Seattle: For the 13th year, Elysian Brewing Company invites pumpkin enthusiasts to the GPBF. Offering more than 80 pumpkin-inspired beers, the festivitites include pumpkin carving, a bevy of food trucks and some feel-good, too - Fred Hutch is the event's charity partner!

Pro Tip: HURRY and get tickets for Friday. Saturday is already sold out!

2. Dance in your lederhosen at Oktoberfest - Leavenworth: A tradition amongst friends, families and tourists, our beloved PNW Bavarian town does Oktoberfest right! Lodging fills up fast, so you might want to look at options in Wenatchee or Plain, even checking VRBO or Airbnb. Get your tickets and plan for tall steins, live music, great food and a parade!

Pro Tip: If you can't find lodging in town or somewhere nearby, take the Leavenworth Oktoberfest Getaway through Sound Excursions! It's only $60 roundtrip per person.

3. Experience pure terror at The Haunted Woods at Maris Farms - Buckley: This is the most horrifying place to visit in Pierce County this time of year without question. You'll take a creepy cruise through their frightening forest with scream-worthy scares around every corner. Don't believe me? Watch, if you dare....

Pro Tip: Snag a sweet deal on admission through RockPerks.com!

4. Get lost in the corn maze at Gordon Skagit Farms - Mt. Vernon: Skagit's farmlands are GORGEOUS this time of year, and this third-generation farm has it all - apples, cider sipping and the corn maze you'll need a map to conquer!

Pro Tip: Head to their u-pick field for all the gourds, pumpkins and squash you'll need to decorate for Halloween!

5. Take the Downtown Gore & Lore Tour - Bellingham: Who knew that this delightful city had a dark side?! Take a tour with Good Time Girls through Bellingham's haunted spaces and murder mysteries that will creep you out and show you a side of the city you didn't know existed - and will likely never forget!

Pro Tip: Take advantage of the drink ticket upgrade to score a specialty cocktail, pint of beer, or glass of wine at Archer Ale House!
