Bottle Shops ROCK

March 18, 2016

Huge fan of the bottle shop! You can often browse THOUSANDS of beers in one stop - what's not to love about that? You'll find the classics, the obscure, the hard-to-find. Check out some of the best ones the PNW has to offer, according to KISW's resident IPA snob - ME!

1. 99 Bottles - Federal Way, WA: Located in Crossings Center, this is worth the drive from north or south of FW. They literally have it all. Beer from 50 different countries, 8 rotating craft beers on tap for growler fills, and you can even hit them up for special orders! I'm also a huge fan of their Instagram... not only does Tiffany showcase much of their impressive inventory, she also shows off her two ADORABLE dogs - Earl the Golden Retriever and Lil Bish the Brittany Spaniel!

2. Whidbey Beer Works - Oak Harbor, WA: My best friend's husband got me turned onto this hot spot on Whidbey! They keep kegs on tap for your growler fills and always have tastings on the calendar featuring specific beers or breweries. For non-beer drinkers, they also have a MONSTER collection of wines, ciders, and meads. If you are into cigars, they've got you covered. Worth the trip from the "mainland" :)

3. Brigid's Bottleshop - Edmonds, WA: Located right on the water in beautiful Edmonds, they have a TON of beer on tap for you to get down on! 18 taps featuring 16 beers, 2 ciders, and wine by the glass for you wine-o types. Furthermore, they support the art community by featuring local artists' work which you can feast your eyes on while shopping hundreds of bottles.

4. Chuck's Hop Shop - Greenwood Neighborhood, Seattle, WA: First off - big win... DOG FRIENDLY! YAY! They have 40-something taps featuring tons of amazing craft beer for you to enjoy while you're there, wall to wall bottles of beer from all over the place, and there's always a food truck parked outside for when you get the beer munchies. Imagine walking into a convenience store and EVERY SHELF is filled with beer. Yes please!

So where's your favorite bottle shop? Tell me all about it in an email! I want to go visit STAT!

Happy Adventuring,
