Taryn's Wreckreation Guide: Arlington - Stillaguamish Eagle Festival

Many people know me as a crazy chicken lady, and of this I am very proud. However, the chicken is far from my spirit animal. The animal I connect with most is the eagle, and this weekend, my neighboring community celebrates this incredible bird.

For the 11th year in a row, the city of Arlington is hosting their Eagle Festival, celebrating these beautiful creatures and their return to the Stillaguamish River. On February 2nd and 3rd, you'll have access from everything to guided tours to demonstrations will be happening throughout the weekend!

Personally, I cannot recommend a guided tour enough! Brad and I took one on the Skagit River two years ago and it was one of the most magical experiences of my entire life!

Another event to highlight is the Extreme Chainsaw Sculpture Event where area chainsaw carvers will create insane creations in minutes, which will then be available to purchase! This little guy sits on our front porch, so you can say we're huge fans of this kind of art!

Check out the full list of festival events and the viewing map for the inside scoop on places to see these magestic birds throughout the area.

I have always believed that an eagle sighting is a good omen, or a sign that you're in the right place at the right time, so definitely make the Eagle Festival a part of your weekend plans, Rockaholics! You won't regret celebrating my spirit animal!

Happy Adventuring,

Taryn Daly
