Suicide has touched all of us, and new conversations about prevention and awareness have been started. Thanks to the efforts of the Stanwood Camano Community Action organization, this weekend is a great opportunity to get involved in this ongoing discussion and truly make a difference.

Sign ups begin at 10:00am behind Viking Village with engines starting at noon. Your $20 donation includes a t-shirt (while supplies last) and throughout the event, there will be a 50/50 raffle and several drawings, so bring your cash! Everyone is welcome, and that means any car, any hot rod any ride.

I'm so proud that my hometown is hosting the 3rd annual Rods & Rides 2018 Charity Ride on Saturday, inviting all to come together to build awareness as well as help support local suicide prevention efforts. It means a great deal to know that we are not alone, and that we have a community of people to lean on and connect with.

The Stanwood Camano Community Action organization also hosts a number of support groups, so if you or anyone you know is struggling to process a loss, you are welcome to come and heal.

Hope you can be there Saturday for this wonderful event in my hometown of Stanwood!

If you or anyone you know is struggling with depression and/or thoughts of suicide, know that someone is always there. Additionally, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1-800-273-8255.

Happy Adventuring,

Taryn Daly
