Here's how YOU can make a BIG impact w/ local charities

Taryn's Wreckreation Guide: GiveBIG Seattle

May 8, 2018

Wednesday May 9th is a very special day when it comes to Rockaholics Helping Rockaholics. It's GiveBIG day in Seattle, spearheaded by the Seattle Foundation, where we're all encouraged to dig deep into our pockets and support some pretty incredible organizations in our area.

For 24 hours, this online giving event gives our communities the opportunity to make a MASSIVE impact. Many of the participating non profits have secured matching funds from a variety of sources, which means that all donations made to that organization up to the amount of the matching fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar!

The Seattle Sounders continue to be HUGE supporters of GiveBIG.

Here are a few organizations involved with #GiveBIG that KISW has worked closely with over the years through Pain In The Grass, Bourbon & Bacon Fest, Pearl Jam, Sip and Slide, Walk MS, Bike MS and more:

National MS Society – Greater NW Chapter

Motley Zoo Animal Rescue

Vitalogy Foundation

Members of @pearljam were in #Seattle today talking about the great work they are doing in our communities! $2 from every #Pain2018 ticket you buy at KISW.com helps further the work of the #VitalogyFoundation. - @tarynkisw

You can search for more participating non profits here. When you do contribute to your favorite charities, use #GiveBIG and follow along all day long as we make a difference in Seattle. Thanks, Rockaholics!

Happy Adventuring,
