Meet Ginger, our new rescue goat!

Taryn's Wreckreation Guide

June 25, 2018

A few weeks ago, we rehomed Boo Boo the goat from friends of ours, and as of yesterday, he has a new sister - Ginger the rescue goat!

Finding the perfect fit for Boo Boo definitely took some time, and I'm glad we finally made it happen! Brad and I were hoping to find a goat close in age and size with horns, and when I saw her profile online through, I knew Ginger was the one.

Yesterday, my girlfriend Sarah and I took the Edmonds ferry to Kingston, where of course we stumbled upon some #boatmeat. Mens Room Original Sausage is SO delish!

From Kingston, we drove to Center Valley Animal Rescue in Quilcene. They have an incredible facility, where we saw everything from a parrot and turtles to llamas and iguanas!

After weeks of preparation and anticipation, I was so excited to finally meet Ginger!

We loaded her up into the dog crate and headed back to the ferry dock. It was a spectacular experience all around, and I will definitely adopt another animal from Center Valley Animal Rescue again in the future.

They also just hosted their big fundraising event earlier this month, where they raised more than $50,000 to help animals in need.

There are so many fantastic animal rescues in our area, and I am beyond thankful for these amazing organizations who are committed to finding loving homes for pets who really need them.

Happy Adventuring,
