All across the country, women in the brewing industry have been collaborating on special beers for International Women's Day through the Pink Boots Society's Collaboration Brew Days, and I was lucky enough to be a fly on the wall at one of these gatherings yesterday!

Crucible Brewing Company's Woodinville Forge hosted one of these fabulous collaborations, where we donned pink witch hats, pink gloves, pink safety goggles and of course - PINK BOOTS!!

With female pros from Bosk Brew Works and Burke-Gilman Brewing Company at the helm, the ladies worked together to brew an Oatmeal Pale Ale called Steel-Cut Sorcery (approximately 35 IBUs and 5.4% ABV). They incorporated the exclusive Pink Boots Hops blend from Yakima Chief Hops, and proceeds from that hop also benefit the Pink Boots Society.

Reposted from @la_la_laurin For International Women's Day this year, I took a giant leap outside of my comfort zone and spent the day with @cruciblebrewing for their @pinkbootssociety collaboration. I got to meet some rad women in the brewing industry (and Dick the Head Brewer) and learn about the process of brewing beer. When the event said all experiences welcome, I bet they never thought they'd end up with a Coastie with zero brewing experience! Now we wait a few weeks for the release of our Steelcut Sorcery OPA! #cruciblebrewing #washingtonbrewers #woodinvillebrewers #pinkboots #pinkbootssociety #pinkbootscollab #womenwhobrew #trysomethingnew #drinkpink #everydayadventures

They even let me dump in a load of the goods!

This is one of MANY collaborative beers brewed in the area for International Women's Day this year, and in a few short weeks, these brews will be released and available for your consumption!  Save the date for the Steel-Cut Sorcery release party - it will be taking place at Crucible Brewing Company's Everett location on Friday, March 27th. Proceeds from the beer will benefit the Pink Boots Society, so come have a pint and support this incredible organization!

You can make a donation to the Pink Boots Society to further their mission of assisting, inspiring, and encouraging women beer professionals through education. Shout out ot all of the incredible women who are making suds-y waves in the brewing industry!

Happy Adventuring,
