Rock Blog: 6 Songs We Wanna Hear At #Pain2017

June 14, 2017

If you know anything about Pain in the Grass, you know that there will be FAR more than 6 songs played next Saturday! With 14 bands playing on 2 stages, it's a full day of ROCKING, but we are keeping our fingers crossed that we hear these 6 songs:

1. KoЯn - 'Blind': For many of us, it's one of the earliest Korn songs that got us into the band back in the mid-90s! With the bass line, screeching guitar and high hat building the energy, by the time Jonathan Davis growls, "Are you ready?"... we are SO ready...

2. Ten Miles Wide - 'Backburner': The band hails from Seattle and will have the esteemed privilege of kicking off Pain in the Grass 2017 on the Main Stage Saturday June 24th! 'Backburner' is the perfect mix of psychedellic, progressive and completely unbridled ROCK.

3. The Pretty Reckless - 'Like A Stone' (Audioslave cover): With the recent passing of Chris Cornell, TPR had been on tour with Soundgarden. The band took the time to pay tribute a few nights later, covering Audioslave's 'Like A Stone'. We wonder if they'll perform it to a crowd full of PNWers...

4. Stone Sour - 'Outshined' (Soundgarden cover): Another #Pain2017 artist paid tribute to Chris Cornell a few weeks ago, when Stone Sour covered Soundgarden. Corey some amazing words about the Seattle rocker, too. Will he do it again next Saturday?

5. Babymetal - 'Gimme Chocolate!': The choreography alone will make Babymetal's set different than any other artist's next weekend! 'Gimme Chocolate!' is WAY too much fun, and the backing band throws down the metal vibes so hard. I just hope they'll let me borrow one of those sweet dresses.

6. Like A Storm - 'Become The Enemy': They're coming BACK, all the way from New Zealand, for another Pain in the Grass w/ KISW and we are hoping they play this jam when they rock the 2nd Stage next weekend!

Still need tickets? Grab 'em at and meet us at White River Amphitheater next Saturday for #Pain2017!

Happy Rocking,
