Growing up in a Scandinavian family, we used to make Swedish pancakes every weekend for breakfast, so it should come as no surprise that I'm a fan of the Swedish pancake's cousin, the French crepe! 


When it comes to Swedish pancakes, I'm typically a purist and don't dress them up with much in the form of toppings, but when it comes to the French crepe, give me all the fillings. Some folks lean more sweet, some lean more savory, but I truly believe there is no wrong way to get your crepe on.


This morning, I went savory-style at Camano Island's HodgePodge Easy Eats at Terry's Corner and opted for the Delux, filled with cage-free eggs, bacon, sharp cheddar, cream cheese and jalapenos. But their menu is filled with creations that make it nearly impossible to choose your crepe. 


For those in Seattle, head to Pike Place Market and stop into Crepe de France for a truly French experience! They started making crepes in the early 90s and people have been raving about them ever since.

Up in Bellingham, you'll find AB Crepes on Railroad Avenue in the heart of downtown. They just celebrated their 6th anniversary and continue to wow Whatcom County with their creative menu!


Pro tip: mimosas and crepes pair beautifully together :)


If you haven't had a crepe recently, it is TOTALLY time to find a local spot and indulge. Savory or sweet, your taste buds will thank you.
