Saturday's Charity Ride Benefits Biker Injured During Oyster Run

Taryn's Wreckreation Guide: Ride For Rocky

September 28, 2017

One of our area's most popular motorcycle events is the legendary Oyster Run. Thousands of bikers flock to the PNW to participate in a long-standing community ride. One of those riders is Rocky Fields, who unfortunately was involved in a terrible crash on Sunday. He's currently in ICU at Harborview with his amazing wife Kristine by his side, and together they are fighting hard for a full recovery.

A little back story... I met Rocky and Kristine through the wicked web of radio, where we were involved in a New Year's Eve casino event years ago, and we have stayed in touch over the years. I have worked out with Kristine in Zumba classes, and have sang my ass off a few times at the couple's karaoke events in Snohomish County. They LOVE music, they LOVE people and they LOVE their community. From what I have seen on Facebook these past few days, I am not the only person who has had fantastic experiences with Rocky and Kristine. They have an incredible network of friends and family supporting them in this difficult time. It's no surprise that the local motorcycle community stepped up in this time of great need!

Thanks to the efforts of Kinfolk Snohomish County MC, a Ride For Rocky fundraising event has been organized in Skagit County for this coming weekend and ALL are encouraged to attend! Whether you ride a motorcycle or not, there's something you can do this weekend to help Rocky get back on his feet. You're invited to this weekend's Ride For Rocky Charity Run to help the Fields family!

If you're unable to attend, please consider making a donation to Help For Rocky, a Go Fund Me campaign organized by his friends. As the sole provider for the household, this fund will help Rocky's family tackle the medical bills incurred this week and in the weeks to come, plus help with regular monthly expenses that can't be ignored.

Hope you can help in some way, Rockaholics! Ride on Saturday, donate or SHARE the information with your network to help Rocky!

Thank you, my babes and babettes! This is truly Rockaholics Helping Rockaholics!

Happy Adventuring,

Taryn Daly
