#SaveTheShowbox: What's next and how you can help

Taryn's Wreckreation Guide

May 7, 2019

Mark your calendar for June 5th, Rockaholics.

The landmark nomination meeting to help Save The Showbox has been set for June 5th at City Hall. According to a post from Historic Seattle, the organization fighting tirelessly to protect and preserve this and other Seattle landmarks, the meeting will be the first of two steps to turn the Showbox into a historic landmark.

You can submit written comments in support of the nomination in advance of the meeting to sarah.sodt@seattle.gov or attend the meeting to provide your comments in person. To be considered relevant, what you write/say must pertain to how The Showbox meets at least one (or more) of the six designation criteria in the City's Landmarks Preservation Ordinance. For more details on that, visit Historic Seattle's Showbox advocacy page!

What else can you do to help? Get your Save The Showbox shirt! 100% of proceeds fund the advocacy work of Historic Seattle.
