Superfekta celebrates their 20th anniversary as a band this year, but the road to this major milestone wasn't an easy one. In the song 'Escape', the band reveals their personal experience with addiction and recovery.

For a little backstory, their guitar player Kris celebrated his 35th birthday over the weekend. An even bigger reason to celebrate? He's clocked 10 years of sobriety after battling opiates, and this song and music video are the beginning of a Superfekta-led campaign to raise awareness about recovery.

Kris' story inspires so much hope, because many of us have experienced the strong grasp of addiction, either directly or indirectly. Kris is a strong example of the power of recovery, as he'll share the Pain in the Grass stage with the rest of his Superfekta bandmates on Friday, August 2nd.

@superfekta is in studio on Loud and Local tonight! Listen up at 10pm to hear the brand new single "Escape" - @kvndrs
