I'm Back!

On August 31st, my life changed forever after the birth of my son, Barrett! I have spent the past four months away from the mic to bond with my baby boy, and it has been incredibly special for me and my little family! That time has come to a close, and I am both extremely sad it's over and unbelievably excited to get back to hosting nights at the mighty Rock of Seattle!
There have been some MAJOR highlights along the way, like Barrett learning what a dog's love is all about.

And Dad playing him countless songs on guitar.

And some of the not-so-fun parts?? Realizing all those times I thought I was tired BEFORE Barrett, I was actually quite rested. Or not packing a change of clothes for MYSELF when we leave the house, only to be covered in an adorable baby's bodily fluids in public. :)

If you follow me on social media, you've probably kept up with my new mom shenanigans to some extent, and as a first-timer, I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has encouraged me, laughed along with me and enjoyed the start of this journey with me. I feel your love and I reciprocate!!

I wouldn't have been able to take this time if it weren't for the love and support of my amazing KISW family, and I truly couldn't have done it without the lovely Cathy Faulkner, who has been manning nights since the end of August!

I'm officially on maternity leave, and @mecathyfaulkner officially has nights at @999kisw covered!! Y'all are gonna be SPOILED because she's the absolute QUEEN of Seattle radio. Thank you Cathy - I adore you ------

It's not every day I ask someone to fill in for me for FOUR MONTHS. And it's not something just anyone can commit to doing. But she has had my back this entire time, both on and off the air, and the sacrifices she has made to be there five nights a week for 17 weeks is not lost on me. I sincerely want to thank Cathy for bringing her legendary voice back to the KISW airwaves at night, because it was a true treat for the Rockaholics and a favor I could never even begin to repay.

So I'M BACK!! And bear with me - it might be a few weeks before I really remember what all of the buttons do, and since I haven't had to censor my potty mouth for the last four months, let's at least get reacquainted with the position of the "dump" button...

Cheers to the New Year, Rockaholics! I'm excited to be back at home at KISW and rocking with you once again.
Happy Rocking,
Taryn Daly
