Taryn's Wreckreation Guide: 3 IPAs From WA You've Probably Never Heard Of

May 27, 2016

Of course we all have our favorite beers. Our go-to-brews. The suds on top. However, we live in one of the micro-brew capitals of the WORLD, so there are new breweries popping up all over the place. Now, as you know, I'm a giant IPA snob, so I thought I'd shed some light on 3 IPAs you've probably never heard of from our wonderful state.

1. Twang Banger Double IPA (9.6% ABV, 82 IBU) - Dreadnought Brewing, Monroe: 9.6% ABV, 82 IBU, An intensely hoppy pale ale with minimal malt character, designed to showcase its strong hop flavors.

2. Red Bridge IPA (6% ABV) - Whiskey Ridge Brewing, Arlington: Brewed with Citra hops, this full bodied IPA has a smooth  mouth feel with fresh citrus notes on the finish. Crisp and hoppy, this is the perfect beer for a hot summer night.

3. 3Mag Rain IPA (6.8% ABV, 65 IBU) - Three Magnets Brewing Co., Olympia: A gently toasted malt profile is balanced by Magnum hops for bittering, and Cascade and Centennial for aroma. It's given an even bigger aroma hit coming from Mosaic, Amarillo, and Cascade dry hops, and northern English yeast strain lends light pit fruit nuances.

Do you have an IPA for me to try? Send me the info! Have a wonderful and SAFE, IPA-filled Memorial Day Weekend, my babes & babettes! Always drink responsibly!

Happy Adventuring,
