Taryn's Wreckreation Guide: 3 Things Your Dog Wants You To Do

May 2, 2017

Your dog called, and rain or shine, this is what he/she wants to do this week. In no particular order:

1. Bring me to a super-cool dog bar. There are two places your pooch had in mind, so you have options!

For the north enders, head to Paws for a Beer in Bellingham, the first and only of its kind in the 'Ham. Hang inside or outside, with both humans and dogs encouraged to freely roam off-leash. Make sure you check out the rules and membership options before you go, then enjoy local beers, ciders, kombucha and wine with other crazy dog parents.

Wonderfully sunny afternoon here at Paws! Who is looking forward to Walk For A Paws and Paws For A Beer? Leaving @bbaybrewery at 5:30 tomorrow. Walk the waterfront and then indulge in some @goatmountainpizzaco special food truck surprise! Hint: It's not pizza!

For those closer to Seattle, hit up Dogwood Play Park! Your pup can play indoors or outdoors, and will no doubt find the treat tunnel rather quickly upon arrival. Peep the rules before you head that direction, and the awesome memberships available. Then get down on beer or wine, and maybe pick up a few treats from The Seattle Barkery before you head home!

Ain't no party like a west coast party! 4-10pm tonight! Come check out our new beer & cider options! #pepperpots #indoordogpark #dogsofseattle #dogsandbeer #friyay #dogparty #dogmeetup

2. Take me on a hike!

Always a favorite in Whatcom County, Oyster Dome is a WONDERFUL hike this time of year! Pro tip: keep your pooches leashed when you get to the the top and beware of the ledge! The reward is incredible, so pack a lunch and a snack for the pups and enjoy view.

In King County, take the pooch to Tiger Mountain and tackle West Tiger 3 just outside Issaquah. You might see KISW's own Sergeant Hairclub (now beardless) with his Golden Retriever Shelby. And you might even encounter super-friendly birds along the way.

Birds. Fascinating. PNW.

3. Get me some new gear!

Sometimes a new dog collar or a cozy bed is the BEST way to surprise your pup with extra love and excitement. Somehow they just know you really love 'em when you spoil them extra hard! Some of my favorite places to grab dog gear are Banded Pines, Olive + Atlas, and the indestructible K9 Ballistics dog bed (literally the only kind mine won't destroy)!

For all those 90's babies out there, this one's for you. Being from Portland, OR my love for that city is always here with me. This pattern was designed and inspired by the good old Portland airport carpet (may it forever Rest In Peace) and with our own flare some purple popsicles! I know tons of pups love the color purple so we wanted to add this to our shop! Pictured: The 90's Summer Collar™

This warm copper has a slight shimmer and a great feel to it. Be sure you get yours while still available at www.oliveandatlas.co! ➖ OLIVE + ATLAS.

What else does your dog want to do this week? Let me know in an email and I'll add it to my to-do list with my doggies!
