Taryn's Wreckreation Guide: Bad Ass Blue Angels

August 5, 2016

Being born and raised in Western Washington, I grew up with Seafair and the Blue Angels. It was always a very special part of my childhood! My family would flock to a friend's rooftop or a lakeside park to see them in action, wowing everyone with crazy stunts and sounds that shake your chest and give you goose bumps. Aaaahhhh it really never gets old!

I was invited  to watch the Blue Angels on a boat today by my dear and newly-engaged friends Brian and Jaime. We boarded the incredible Golden Eagle out of Ballard at 10 o'clock this morning and cruised out to Lake Washington where there were HUNDREDS of other boats out to enjoy the air show. There were speed boats and sailboats and monster cruisers. The Golden Eagle was the latter!

And may I just say... thank you to ISU Global Insurance for including me today! It was a truly special experience! The 30+ people on board were SO much fun, the food was amazing, and the sun was HOT. What a perfect day to participate in a favorite Seattle past time!

I can't get over how close the Blue Angels got to us. You'd be watching the classic cluster of 4 to the right, and BAM a solo pilot would shoot out of nowhere over your left shoulder. When the 5 would all break off and do their own thing, I had no idea where to look! I didn't want to miss anything. And my photos and video don't do the Angels justice in the slightest.

If you have some time this weekend, get down to Seattle to participate in the Seafair festivities! Cheers and thanks again ISU Global Insurance! Y'all are the absolute best and I'll never forget today!

Happy Adventuring,

Taryn Daly
