Taryn's Wreckreation Guide: The Best St. Paddy's Day Pubs & Parties

March 16, 2017

I'm drawn to Irish Pubs any day of the year. I love the food, the music, the beer and the overall vibe you'll find at a great Irish Pub, and tomorrow, it's tradition. On the eve of St. Patrick's Day, you're probably putting together a plan for where to go, and I'm happy to provide a little direction. Please allow me to highlight some of my favorite Irish Pubs in the area.

I spent the better part of 4 years living in Everett, and The Irishmen was a six-block stumbling distance from my place. Of COURSE it was my "Cheers" bar! From 11am tomorrow until closing, they have one of the most AMAZING St. Patrick's Day celebrations EVER. I've been in years past and it's the best in town, with live music from The Dread Pirates and Alex Britton, and a special St. Paddy's Day menu! To this day, I insist on stopping by for a pint of Smithwick's before a Silvertips game or after Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

When I lived in Bellingham, my Irish Pub of choice was Uisce (pronounced ISH-kah). The bartenders are fabulous, plus they have darts and the largest Irish Whiskey and Scotch selection in Bellingham! On top of that, tomorrow night they're throwing a Saint Patrick's Day party, complete with live music that will include the Bellingham FirePipes.

The Ould Triangle is a Ryan Castle favorite, located in the Greenwood neighborhood of Seattle. Tomorrow night they'll have a fabulous St. Paddy's Day menu, prizes all day and live music from The Jamisons, The Raybone Experience and The Black Rose.

If you're south of the big city, O'Malley's Irish Pub in Tacoma is the place to be tomorrow starting at 5pm! It's going to be a slice of Irish heaven, with food and drink specials and live music from Siren's Rain, Lo-5, Sea Star, Sean the Piano Man, and The Piper Duo.

Hope you can make it out to one of these stellar St. Paddy's Day celebrations tomorrow night! These are four of many, so feel free to send me an email with details of another Irish Bash in the area. And don't forget to wear your green!

Happy Adventuring,

Taryn Daly
