SAY IT AIN'T SO, my fellow Powder Hounds! The 2015-2016 ski season is coming to a close. I'm ready to hit the hill one last time this weekend, and I'll be heading up to Mt. Baker for some final S curves. There are a few local ski areas that are open April 22nd, 23rd and 24th, so plan accordingly, wear LOTS of sunscreen (and reapply - take it from a ginger), and I'll see you on the mountain!

Mt. Baker Ski Area is open this Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 3:30pm. This is pretty cool - if you go up Friday, the first 50 customers to visit the ticket office will get a free Quick Hot Wax. Score! I love hitting Raven Hut Lodge at mid-mountain for a frosty IPA at lunchtime, so make sure to say hi if you see me in there!

Stevens Pass will be open 9am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday this weekend. If you're 21+, be sure to hang in the Foggy Goggle Lounge mid-day for a brew and some grub! Stay tuned for any extended weekends, but don't miss out on this weekend just in case they call it a season!

Alpental at the Summit at Snoqualmie is open this Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 4pm. Hang at Backcountry Bar for a pint and a slice of pizza in their cozy loft with awesome balcony views of the mountain! Depending on how the snow pack is impacted by the warmer weather, there could be an extended schedule, but don't count on it - get up there this weekend!

Where do you plan on skiing this weekend? Shoot me an email and let me know your plans to cap off a great season!

Happy Adventuring,

Taryn Daly
