Taryn's Wreckreation Guide: National Take A Hike Day

November 16, 2016

Just about any day is a great day for hiking, but tomorrow marks National Take A Hike Day in America! Did you know that there are more than 60,000 miles of available hiking terrain in the National Trail System in the USA? That's definitely a reason to get out and explore tomorrow. Rain or shine, go play outside!

The Washington Trails Association makes it easy to Find A Hike in your area. You can filter by location, which is super helpful, and the stats of the hike are front and center. The most recent Hike Of The Week was Lime Kiln Trail

I'm thinking of taking Kona and Kai to Heather Lake tomorrow before work, which is stunning any time of year, but even moreso with the fall colors and a bit of snow! I think these two would be STOKED!

Sweet beasts

When you hit a trail tomorrow, be sure to post a photo to Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram with the hashtag #NationalTakeAHikeDay, and throw #KISW in there as well so I can take a peek at where you were roaming. Have fun out there, Rockaholics!

Happy Adventuring,

Taryn Daly
