Taryn's Wreckreation Guide: Top Pizza Joints According To ME

February 9, 2017

It's National Pizza Day, and I just might cry because it's such a beautiful and important day across our great nation. Of course, this celebration of the pizza pie has inspired me to whittle down my list of fabulous pizza joints (of which there are MANY) and give you the best of the best, according to me. And I am an expert. Make no mistake about that.

For my north end friends, you absolutely MUST hit up my hometown favorite, Jimmy's Pizza & Pasta in lovely Stanwood, WA. They do everything right, from the side salads to the grinders to the pasta, but their PIZZA is phenomenal and is worth the trip if you don't live in the area. When anyone asks me for a dinner recommendation in Stanwood, this is where I steer them, and I'll never, ever miss an opportunity to congregate with friends or family here. The House Special is my JAM.

If you're in Everett for any reason, let's say for an Everett Silvertips hockey game, head across the street to Brooklyn Bros. Pizzeria. They also have a location in Mukilteo, so you can take your pie to-go on the ferry! This is the truest New York-style pizza in the area! I used to live within walking distance of the Everett location, and let me tell you, that was dangerous...  The Village Margherita is my pie of choice.

Seattle folks MUST check out Ridge Pizza on Phinney Ridge. I miss the days my girlfriends lived down the street! We were there ALL the time. It's warm and cozy inside, and if you like the extra spicy side of life, for the love of god PLEASE order The Wingdome. It's gonna make you SWEAT.

Those who live south of Seattle should check out Louie G's Pizza in Fife! Not only do they bring in and support a TON of amazing local bands, they serve up some killer 'zza. Is there anything better than pizza and a rock show? I think not! Although I'm normally a must-have-meat-on-pizza person, Mama's Veggie is TO DIE FOR.

Happy National Pizza Day, my friends, so celebrate! What's your favorite place to score delicious pizza? Hit me with an email so I can check out a new spot! Be sure to tell me your favorite thing to get on the menu, too!

Happy Adventuring,

Taryn Daly
