Taryn's Wreckreation Guide: Where To Grab A BIG Lunch For $10

February 1, 2017

I LOVE going out to lunch, and typically do about once a week. Whether I'm catching up with old friends, getting out of the office with co-workers, or just too lazy to make my own food, lunchtime fun is a GREAT way to break up the work day. If you're like me, you lunch on a budget, so I found 5 GREAT lunches for around $10, whether your up north, down south, or somewhere in the city.

Cristiano's in Marysville has been a LONG time favorite for my north-end friends and family. They create some CRAZY good pizzas, pastas and salads with portions SO huge the prices barely make sense! I get the Italian Chef Salad for $8.25, and it's packed with salami, pepperoni, mozzarella, peppers, tomatoes and olives.

Coconut Kenny's has locations in Anacortes, Sedro-Woolley, Burlington, Bellingham, Lynden and Ferndale, and they have TONS of menu items for around $10. I get the Longboard Sandwich, which is basically a pizza on a sandwich, where you pick your 3 favorite toppings (I go with pepperoni, green peppers and mushrooms). A half Longboard is a good-sized meal but a FULL is plenty, and only $9.49! Plus if you have leftovers, there's your dinner!

Pick-Quick Drive In in Fife is a FABULOUS burger joint with amazing burgers, fries, shakes & more! This is the original Pick-Quick (other locations live in SODO and Auburn) with roots dating back to the 1940s! I dig the Deluxe Burger, a side of french fries and a medium vanilla shake, and that'll cost you right around $10! Plus there's a great nostalgia at Pick-Quick that will bring you back to a simpler time!

Paseo Caribbean Food serves up mouth-watering sandwiches in Fremont, SODO, and Capitol Hill and has been around for more than two decades. Their twist on the Ham & Cheese sandwich is my go-to, and at $9.75, it's another one I can make last until dinner-time! The carmelized onions are something I dream about regularly.

I know there are MANY other places where you can score a great deal on a BIG lunch, so please educate me! Send me an email with the info so I can check out your go-to lunch spots that won't break the bank AND fill you up!

Happy Adventuring,

Taryn Daly
