The greater Seattle area is home to thousands of men and women who either have served or are currently serving in our armed forces. As Veterans Day approaches, there are many ways to say thank you, and five local tribute bands are showing their appreciation with music.

Whether you live to the north or south of Seattle, there's a Loud & Local show for you to attend this weekend that benefits Heartbeat Serving Wounded Warriors, a local non-profit providing emergency assistance, innovative therapy and morale building programs for Wounded Warriors/Families from all branches of the military. Some of their therapeutic programs include equine and SCUBA therapy, plus their soon-to-be-launched K9 therapy.

The festivities will feature Washed In Black - A Tribute to Pearl Jam, OUTSHINED (Tribute to Soundgarden & Temple Of The Dog), Stargazer - A Mother Love Bone TributeWicked Garden - The Stone Temple Pilots Experience and Nevermind - Seattle's Nirvana Tribute

Friday night, the show will be in Fife for the Best of The NW Tribute Veterans Day Benefit South at Louie G's.

Saturday night, they'll head north to Canoes Cabaret for the Best of The NW Tribute Veterans Day Benefit North at Tulalip.

Last year, these shows raised more than $8,000 - let's take it to the next level this weekend, my friends!

Happy Adventuring,
