This Is What Acoustic Greta Van Fleet Sounds Like

Rock Blog

October 24, 2017

When we first stumbled upon the music of Greta Van Fleet, we knew there was something special there. Ever since we started playing 'Highway Tune' on Seattle radio, we knew Rockaholics were taking notice, too. Their classic rock influence is not only impressive, but a pleasant resergence of why we fell in love with rock music in the first place.

@gretavanfleet stopped by for some serious serenading before their show at @tractortavern tonight! These rock vibes are just what I needed! - @tarynkisw

I've always considered myself a misplaced soul, being that I love classic rock and bands that were in their prime years before I was born. The dudes in Greta Van Fleet are more than 10 years younger than ME, and I bet they'd tell you they're misplaced souls, too. Deriving inspiration from the likes of Led Zeppelin, it's not just their musical style that brings us back - it's the lyrics, too, and even the fashion.

Let's get some smiles. You're an animal! You're a tiger!

We'll have some fabulous footage from this afternoon's acoustic session to share with you soon, but in the meantime, here's a taste of 'Flower Power' of their debut EP Black Smoke Rising.

If you are one of the lucky folks who has tickets to tonight's sold-out show at the Tractor Tavern, please enjoy every minute of tonight for those who couldn't get inside! Looking foward to MANY more Seatte shows down the line.

Happy Rocking,
