How You Can Help Save Destiny City Comics

Vicky B's Dirty N' Nerdy Blog

Comic books have been the foundation of the imaginations of many young and old.

Some of my favorite memories of my teenage years were hitting up the Everett Mall and going to the comic book shop, flipping through the new trades, picking up the latest single issues for my collection and hanging out with my friends to discuss the stories we were reading.

So whenever I see that a comic book store in the area has to close it's doors, it genuinely bums me out.

I wasn't the only one who felt that way when Destiny City Comics in Tacoma announced it was closing it's doors on October 31st.

Pro wrestler and Tacoma Native, Ethan HD and his wife Stephanie are raising money and going to use the funds raised (in addition to their own) to buy Destiny City Comics and keep it's doors open to continue serving their community.

The thing is, they can't do this without the help of the community.

They need help raising more money, and they have a limited time to do so, that being said though, they are giving away some awesome stuff to those who donate. Check out their Indiegogo page for all the details.

If you want to hear it from Ethan HD himself, check him out on our latest episode of BJ Shea's Geek Nation where he hangs out for the entire show to talk about all things comic books!

Until Next Time, Stay Nerdy!
