Nerdy TV Shows Coming Out In June

June 15, 2018

June is going to be busy, between awesome events like #Redfestival, BBQ's, and birthdays, but June also is bringing us a ton of new shows!

Now, there are some shows that are already out for you to get a head start on:

Cloak and Dagger

I watched the first two episodes already, and it’s a lot darker than I thought it would be. Although it does have a slow start (which most origin stories tend to do) I’m interested in finding out how the story unfolds.

Sense8 Series Finale

Shortly after season 2 premiered, it was announced that Netflix was dropping the series. Maybe it was because the 9 million dollar an episode (10 eps a season) bill that piled up? Anyways, the fans did not stay quiet, and luckily, we were able to get a 2 hour “movie” series finale. It wrapped everything very well, even though I wish we had a whole new season, this was a satisfying ending. Catch the whole series on Netflix!

Coming up later this month:

Luke Cage

Season 2 - June 22nd

I will admit, season 1 of Luke Cage wasn’t my favorite of the Netflix marvel shows, but it wasn’t the worst *cough* Iron Fist *cough*. Season one tackled some big topics in the world today involving racism, but also the life forced upon those in low income situations. The soundtrack was fantastic, the end big baddie fight scene was “meh”. I loved his dynamic as the “older brother” to Iron Fist in The Defenders, so I will be giving season two a shot! Catch it on Netflix!

Season 3 – June 29th

The whole crew is back! Jesse, Cassidy, and by the looks of the trailer, so does Tulip! If you haven’t seen Preacher, you’re in luck because as much as I like the show, I think it flows better if you can binge it all at once. Also, it is not for the faint of heart; this is Seth Rogan’s project and the amount of fake blood and guts must take up most of the budget. They are not afraid to “go there”, so don’t watch with the kids around!

Season 2 – June 2

Bad ass ladies, breaking down gender roles while trying to excel in a sexist and racist industry/world. It’s funny, it’s real, and it sometimes hits you in the feels. I’m so glad they returned with a second season!

Which June TV show are you excited to watch? Is there one I didn’t mentioned that you can’t wait for?

Until Next Time….Stay Nerdy!
