BJ'S BLOG 01/05/16 "Facebook Outrage"

January 5, 2016

Welcome to 2016, gang! I hope you all had a great holiday season…because our first blog item of the year is just more proof that we’re probably all doomed.
Have you heard about the ham-faced dog that caused outrage across Facebook? Thousands of Facebook users were tricked into spreading the word about a dog, whose face had been allegedly burned and disfigured after saving its family from a house fire. An internet joker pulled off the prank…which turned out to be a picture of a dog with deli meat on its face. If you ask me, it looked like the scary monster from ASH VS. EVIL DEAD on Starz…

Check it out here:
The perpetrator, a Facebook user named Stephen, has not responded to the outrage that is now flying his way. No one was hurt – least of all, the dog – but SO many people are angry that they were duped by this prank. Folks, let me advise you all to GET OVER IT. You fell for a joke, and now it’s done. Social media is quickly mutating reasonable people into constantly butt-hurt snowflakes who can’t deal with ANYTHING.
Move on with your lives. Enjoy some delicious sliced deli ham.
